THE BEST HOLIDAYS.

I will speak about my best holidays ever. This is a very romantic history.
I remember it very much, because the reason I travelled, was my honeymoon. I went with my husband on February, 2006. Well, as I was saying I arrived to Israel, and we spent their twenty days. We travelled around the different cities, we went to the kibur ain gedi, where we saw how the people live in the Kibut, and everyday we went swimming on the Dead Sea. After this amazing day we went to Eilad city where we crossed to Jordania.
Going to Jordania was one of my biggest dreams because in this country there is this awesome place where I always dreamed with going to, the Petra area, in Jordania, because there my favorite movie “Indiana Jones at the last Crusade” was filmed.
In Jordania we visited Petra, it was just like in the movies, you cross through the siq (one long cannon with rocky walls) then you enter in a very big area, where the Nabatean people sculpted their palaces and streets on the rock.  It´s a beautiful experience, really incredible.

Finally I fulfilled my dream…I went to Petra, and stayed with my Indiana Jones.

World Wonders!

I’d like to visit The Cuzco city, in Perú, because in this moment I’m thinking about my archaeological thesis. I want to writing about the construction techniques of the Inca site “Chena Pukara” located in the metropolitan area in Santiago city.
I know a lot about Cuzco because my husband visited this place years ago and I have read very much about the Inca architecture. The Cuzco area is the center of the Inca empire. I really need to know the building industry, because I want to compare then with the inca sites in Chile.

The Inca technology in the quarrying is a lithic hammer to the stonemasonry and when I´m there in Cuzco I´d like to visit the Rumiqolca quarry in the Urubamba valley.
Apart from that, I´d love to go to the traditional markets, walk around the city and take photographs at the specific blocks in the quarry area.
I´d like study the quarrys, because in Chile nobody has studied this topic.

I Love Cuzco

MY FIRST TERM OF 2012.

Hello!
I will tell you about my experience in the first term of 2012.
Between march and july, I approved the seventieth semester of my career of Archaeology.
I studied five subjects: Pre-intermediate English course, Physical Anthropology, Ethnicity and Heritage, Andean Ethnology and Ethnoarchaeology. It was very exciting to me, in particular because I participated in two archaeological field works to Pichidangui and San Pedro de Atacama, both in the north of Chile.
I had one big problem in the Univesrsity. The Anthropological English course was full and because that I had to registered in the Sociological English course. But it´s o´k, and I´m enjoying this class.
During my free time, I love to read about new perspectives in archaeology. Also, I´m working in the analysis of archaeological remains of the oldest prehistoric mine of Chile, located in Tal Tal.
During the weekends, I use to go to Viña del Mar. I love this city, because it remembers me the summer holiday.
Finally, I would say that it was a great experience to live this first semester!!
